  费启立研究员长期从事植物小分子RNA领域的研究,以及表观转录组学,尤其是RNA甲基化修饰N6-methyladenosine (m6A)。他阐明了植物miRNA介导产生phasiRNA这一生物合成途径的分子机制以及生物学功能,揭示了m6A结合蛋白YTHDF2在人类细胞中通过促进m6A修饰的转录本RNA的降解从而调控细胞周期的分子机制。以第一作者在PLOS Biology, PNAS, Plant Cell,Plant Journal,Plant Biotechnology Journal,Journal of Experimental Botany等杂志发表多篇论文。并担任Trends in Plant Science、Plant Cell、Plant Physiology、Bioinformatics等期刊审稿人。
